Membership is open to women of all races, colors, creeds, and sexual orientations. To gain membership, students must fulfill the requirements prescribed by both the National Sorority and the local Chapter.

Recruitment week, a week of social events planned locally by the Chapter, is held for anyone interested in becoming a member of GRL, after which new membership is awarded to women selected by the local Chapter during a voting process. New members then participate in a period of preparation and training in the ideals and purposes of the National Sorority and local Chapter. This educational period generally consists of attending new member education classes as well as social and matrix events throughout one full semester.

Gamma Rho Lambda Membership   Full active membership is granted after the new member process if the new member has completed all expectations for the prepartion period as well as being voted into the sorority by the local Chapter. Gaining new member status does not necessarily guarantee full member status at any time during or after the education process.

If you are interested in becoming a member of Gamma Rho Lambda, please visit our find a chapter page to see if there is a local chapter or colony at your college.
