Thank you for your interest in Gamma Rho Lambda! We are excited to begin expanding to new campuses to share our siblinghood with new chapters across the country!
Establishing a new chapter of GRL, also known as expansion, is a fulfilling experience that requires your time, passion, and commitment. This is known as our expansion process. Typically the first step is contacting your campus's office of Fraternity & Sorority Life or Student Activities to learn about their guidelines for establishing a new organization on campus.
Interest Group >
An interest group is group of students who are interested in GRL and interested in starting a chapter on their campus. Your group must be recognized by your college or university.
Interest groups communicate with our VP of Expansion to learn about GRL and then submit a petition to become a provisional chapter.
Provisional Chapter >
Once approved by GRL and your campus, an interest group becomes a Provisional Chapter. The Provisional Chapter process lasts for 3 semesters and includes on-campus visits from GRL representatives.
Provisional Chapters are connected with a GRL Provisional Chapter Mentor that you'll communicate with regularly to guide you through the expansion process, which includes learning GRL traditions, recruiting new members, and holding meetings and events.
Chapter Charter
Provisional Chapter members submit a petition to be granted a chapter charter. Once you are approved, you become an official active chapter of Gamma Rho Lambda!
Once your expansion process is complete, we connect with our VP of Collegians and a general Chapter Mentor to support you into the future.
